• CFD is short for 'contract for differences'. CFDs are derivatives. They are a financial instrument which allows traders to trade an extremely wide range of products such as stocks, indices and commodities (e.g. crude oil, gold, …).
  
  
• CFDs are standardized bilateral agreements between the broker and the client which refers to a financial instrument (the “underlying” or “reference instrument”), allowing the client to virtually trade that reference instrument without actually owning it. The CFD replicates the economic effect of trading in the reference instrument. By entering into a CFD the client can virtually "buy" the reference instrument without having to pay the full price thereof.
  
  
• CFDs offer leverage, are easy to understand (because they are not like an option) and can be traded at low commissions. They are extremely popular in countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany.

WHS ProStation is a consistent forex platform. A consistent platform is a platform on which the prices which make up the charts are identical to the prices on which you can trade.
